In my final year of high school, I organized a school team to attend the state tournament. The competition was set up so that you add the score of all players on your team to determine the final score. We did very poorly, as we had too few players, so we were fighting a very uphill battle. This is the last game of the event, and we had the chance to place in the middle of the pack if I could pull off a win against a much higher rated opponent. I didn’t, but I was happy to have brought my school to the event.
